In celebration of the long-awaited opening of Madison’s Central Park, The Central Park Sessions have been established to welcome friends and neighbors to the City’s newest outdoor gathering space with three evenings of musical merriment.
Presented by our own Greater Williamson Area Business Association (GWABA) with inspiration and assistance from long-time MNA event coordinator Bob Queen, The Sessions will be held on consecutive Thursdays, July 31, August 7 and August 14. Each concert will run from 5-10pm and feature an array of popular food carts, beer, wine, soft drinks and three terrific bands (see Sessions Schedule). It will also feature a fantastic raffle with prizes donated by local businesses and restaurants (see Central Park Sessions Raffle).
David Lohrentz, GWABA president, was enthusiastic about his organization’s involvement in the project, “We are excited to see the neighborhood continue to evolve in a way that attracts innovative businesses and makes the isthmus an even better place to live, work, shop and play. We see the Central Park Sessions as a significant step forward in that evolution.”
